Vary your game. For example, don't keep hitting
your backhand across court - go down the line
sometimes.
If you don't vary your game, all you are doing
is increasing the power of anticipation of your
opponent.
Mix your game up with drop shots, slices,
different angles, varied returns, different serves...
and you will have surprise on your side and make
it harder for your opponent to anticipate your
next shot.
